WPW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

This Saturday, March 8, is International Women’s Day.

WPW has been lucky to welcome some of the very best wrestlers in the world, and many of them happened to be Women. The point of the WPW Women’s Championship was to provide a commitment to featuring Women’s Wrestling without it feeling like a novelty match, and showcasing the top wrestlers on the continent in competitive matches

Ava Lawless is WPW’s 4th Women’s Champions and while she embodies the grit and determination needed to be a Champion, the Hellion has been bombarded with chants of “We Want Jody”. Fans are clamoring for the return of the 1st WPW Women’s Champions Jody Threat, believing she sits alone at the top of the WPW Women’s title division. Lawless has taken these chants on the chin, continuing to cut corners and use a more aggressive rule-breaking style to pick up wins.

Cherry Blossom is looking to play spoiler and take the belt off Lawless on IWD. A Lions Gate Dojo graduate, Cherry makes her WPW debut after dominating most of British Columbia.
